David At Worship

We must always worship the Lord no matter what the situation.  God is worthy of our worship!  King David was a musician, a singer, a songwriter, a poet, a fanatical dancer, even a preacher!  He authentically worshipped God in the very center of His kingdom.  Perhaps that is why his leadership continues to resonate with us today.  When God makes a promise it’s for eternity!

1 Chronicles 22:6-8

Accepting God’s NO requires as great a faith as carrying out His yes.  Sometimes the answer may be no - for right now.  God has a greater plan!

1 Chronicles 22:12-13
(Sunday School Notes - Taught by Sis. Vicki Burns - 7/11/2010)

When we gather in Heaven and our battle with life is through, should we swap old war stories, I have one I'd like to share with you.  About that night at the crossroads where Satan vowed that I would lose.  Then a hand out of nowhere picked me up and one more time I made it through!

The way this will end is with great celebration and deep in my heart I believe over and over, again and again, God is faithful!!

When I look at all the victories, I'm reminded of all God's done for me!

He never offered victory without fighting but He said help would always come in time!

Advice

Keep your mouth shut...and your eyes wide open.

Matthew 10:29-31

Matthew 10: 29-31
Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing?  And one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father.  But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.  Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows. (KJV)

The Church

Matthew 16:13-19

The church has been established in our lives and hearts and is alive and well today.  The church has been in God’s plan all along.

Ephesians 1:4

Ephesians 3 - Paul prayed for the church.

If you want the blessings of Christ in your life, acknowledge Him in your heart and life.  True happiness comes from serving God.  God’s people are happy people.
(Sermon Notes - Rev. Joey Burns - Preached 3/21/10)

Psalm 139:1-3

Psalm 139:1-3
O lord, thou hast searched me, and known me.  Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off.  Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways. (KJV)

Sometimes you just need a good cry.  Even if you don't know the reason why you're crying.

1 Peter 3:9

1 Peter 3:9
Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing. (KJV)
1. Prayer - you cannot lose prayer.  You must pray in all things.

Ephesians 6:18

2. Colossians 3: 12- 14

1 Corinthians 13: 4- 8

Don’t hold onto foolish things.  If you love someone, realize things happen but let it go.  It’s just not worth it.  He’s coming soon!  In the end, does all the petty bitterness matter?

( I felt led of God to speak this during one of our youth practices on 8/4/06)

I'm content with my life in my little aparment...but, if I ever gain some sort of wealth, I kinda wanna live here...
