You're An Angel

"The sweet souls who love, cherish, inspire and protect the angel in you are your guardian angels. They are your friends and family."

WORRY

worry - to cause to feel troubled or uneasy. to be anxious, troubled, etc. a troubled state of mind; anxiety.

Matthew 6:25-34 - "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your Heavenly father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? So do not worry, saying, "What shall we eat? or what shall we drink? or what shall we wear?" For the pagans run after all these things, and your Heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."

Apples

Girls are like apples on trees. The best ones are at the top of the tree. They boys don't want to reach for the good ones because they are afraid of falling and getting hurt. Instead, they just get the rotten apples that are on the ground that aren't as good, but easy. So the apples at the top think that there is something wrong with them when, in reality, they are AMAZING! That is why we just have to be a little patient and the right boy, the one who takes a chance to find the good, right apple will come someday.

Save A Place For Me

I remember the very first time I heard this song. I could vividly see in my mind so many memories of every person in this video. Memories that I will never forget. And I woke up one morning and wanted to make a video in memory of those people. I had very few pictures to work with but I want to thank each and every person who shared the photos with me. This video is dedicated to the memory of:

Taylor Ledford - Papaw Ledford as I knew him. It would be impossible to express in words the man that he was. He taught us love, respect, kindness and generosity. He gave so much of himself to all of our family. I don't know where we would be if we hadn't had him. He worked so hard. To this day, every time I see a Roadway truck, he immediatley comes to my mind. The person I am today was an immediate result of being raised with a man like Papaw Ledford in my life. I love you Papaw!

Paul Jones - My Papaw Jones. Losing him was the first big loss in my life. He was so kind. He was so loving. He made me laugh. He taught me so much. The times spent on the hill on Gregory Branch are times that will never be forgotten...from leaving church early and going to make bologna sandwiches to all the holidays with the family from Indiana. Being around Papaw Jones made my heart happy. I love and miss him so much.

Barbara Roberts - My aunt Barb. One of my heroes. She was a strong, amazing woman. She was one of those people that you just loved being around because every moment with her was a great moment. I have so many memories it would be impossible to share them all - times like the George Strait concerts, all the song lyrics she could never remember so she would just make them up and they would be the most hilarious things you'd ever heard, the cookies she would make with the Hershey Kiss in the middle, all the Roberts' reunions on Ulysses Creek - I could go on and on. Aunt Barb was one of a kind. I see a lot of her in Stephanie. I miss her every single day. I love you Barb.

Pauline Henson - My aunt Pauline. Sweet, kind, strong, funny - those where the things she was. She stood firm in what she believed. She raised some amazing children. She had a laugh that was so contagious! I love and miss her very much.

Linda Foutch - She was my moms best friend. They were almost like sisters. Linda gave so much of herself to others. She was strong, kind and generous. Trish, Kim, Janet, Les and Mitchell where blessed to have a mother like her. The one thing that I think of when I think about Linda was her faith. She had faith that could move mountains. She inspired me and I loved her very much.

Matthew Lunsford - If ever there was a kinder, sweeter human being than Matthew, I've never met them. He was one of those people you couldn't help but love. He was so full of love. His smile made you smile. It was an absolute blessing to be in his presence. I loved him so much.

Lynn Frazier - Faith. That's what I think of when I think of Lynn. I only recall meeting him just one time. But I have heard so many stories about him and the undeniable faith he had. I remember the day that we went to his house to pray with him. Through the struggle he was in, he never lost his smile. He smiled pretty much the entire time we where there. And the words he shared with us that day, they will never leave me. He made my faith grow just by being in his presence.

I am so blessed and thankful to God to have known these people. My family, my friends, my inspirations. Save a place for me....

Matthew West - Save A Place For Me
From the album Something To Say

Don't be mad if I cry
It just hurts so bad sometimes
'Cause everyday it's sinking in
And I have to say goodbye all over again
You know I bet it feels good to have the weight of this world off your shoulders now
I'm dreaming of the day when I'm finally there with you

Save a place for me
Save a place for me
I'll be there soon
I'll be there soon
Save a place for me
Save some grace for me
I'll be there soon
I'll be there soon

I have asked the question why
But I guess the answer's for another time
So instead I'll pray with every tear
And be thankful for the time I had you here
And I wanna live my life just like you did
Make the most of my time just like you did
And I wanna make my home up in the sky
Just like you did
Oh, but until I get there
Until I get there

Who God Uses

The next time you feel like god can't use you, just remember:

Noah was a drunk.
Abraham was too old.
Isaac was a daydreamer.
Jacob was a liar.
Leah was ugly.
Joseph was abused.
Moses had a stuttering problem.
Sampson had long hair and was a womanizer.
Rahab was a prostitute.
Jeremiah and Timothy were too young.
David had an affair and was a murderer.
Elijah was suicidal.
Isaiah preached naked.
Jonah ran from God.
Naomi was a widow.
Job went bankrupt.
John the Baptist ate bugs.
Peter denied Christ.
The Disciples fell asleep while praying.
Martha worried about everything.
The Samaratin woman was divorced, more than once.
Zaccheus was too small.
Paul was too religious.
AND

God can use ANYBODY!!!

MEMO FROM GOD

To: You
Date: Today
From: THE BOSS
Subject: Yourself
Reference: Life

I am God. Today I will be handling all of your problems. Please remember that I do not need your help. If life happens to deliver a situation to you that you cannot handle, do not attempt to resolve it. Kindly put it in the SFGTD (something for God to do) box. All situations will be resolved - but in MY time, not yours. Once the matter is placed into the box, do not hold on to it by worrying about it. Instead, focus on all the wonderful things that are present in your life now. If you find yourself stuck in traffic - don't despair. There are people in this world for whom driving in an unheard of privilege. Should you have a bad day at work, think of the man who has been out of work for years. Should you despair over a relationship gone bad, think of the person who has never known what it's like to love and be loved in return. Should you grieve the passing of another weekend, think of the woman in dire straits, working twelve hours a day, seven days a week to feed her children. Should your car break down, leaving you miles away from assistance, think of the paraplegic who would love the opportunity to take that walk. Should you notice a new gray hair in the mirror, think of the cancer patient in chemo who wishes she has hair to examine. Should you find yourself at a loss and pondering what is life all about, asking what is my purpose? Be thankful. There are those who didn't live long enough to get the opportunity. Should you find yourself the victim of other peoples bitterness, ignorance, smallness or insecurities remember, things could be worse. You could be one of them!

What If...

What if God couldn't take the time to bless us today because we couldn't take the time to thank Him yesterday?

What if God decided to stop leading us tomorrow because we didn't follow Him today?

What if we never saw another flower bloom because we grumbled when God sent the rain?

What if God didn't walk with us today because we failed to recognize it as His day?

What if God took away the Bible tomorrow because we would not read it today?

What if God took away His message because we failed to listen to the messenger?

What if God didn't send His only begotten Son because He wanted us to be prepared to pay the price for sin?

What if the door of the church was closed because we did not open the door of our heart?

What if God stopped loving and caring for us because we failed to love and care for others?

What if God would not hear us today because we would not listen to Him?

What if God answered our prayers the way we answer His call to service?

What if God met our needs the way we give Him our lives?

My Commitment As A Christian

I'm part of the fellowship of the unashamed. I have stepped over the line. The decision has been made. I'm a disciple of Jesus Christ. I won't look back, let up, slow down, back away or be still. My past is redeemed, my present makes sense, my future is secure. I'm finished and done with low living, sight walking, small planning, smooth knees, colorless dreams, tamed visions, mundane taking, cheap living and dwarfed goals. I no longer need preeminence, prosperity, position, promotions, plaudits or popularity. I don't have to be right, first, tops, recognized, praised, regarded or rewarded. I now live by faith, lean on His presence, walk by patience, lift by prayer and labor by power. My face is set, my gait is fast, my goal is Heaven, my road is narrow, my way rough, my companions few, my Guide reliable, my mission clear. I cannot be bought, deluded or delayed. I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice, hesitate in the presence of the adversary, negotiate at the table of the enemy or meander in the maze of mediocrity. I won't give up, shut up, let up until I have stayed up, stored up, prayed up, paid up, preached up for the cause of Christ. I am a disciple of Jesus. I must go til He comes, give til I drop, preach til all know and work til He stops me. And when He comes for His own, He will have no problem recognizing me - my banner will be clear!

The Final Analysis

People are often unreasonable, illogical and self-centered.
Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish ulterior motives.
Be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you will win some false friends and true enemies.
Succeed anyway.
If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you.
Be honest and frank anyway.
What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight.
Build it anyway.
If you find serenity and happiness, there may be jealousy.
Be happy anyway.
The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow.
Do good anyway.
Give the world the best you have and it may never be enough.
Give the world the best you've got anyway.
You see, in the final analysis, it is between you and God.
It was never between you and them anyway.

Slow Fade

Performed by: Casting Crowns
Written by: Mark Hall

Be careful little eyes what you see
It's the second glance that ties your hands as darkness pulls the strings
Be careful little feet where you go
For it's the little feet behind you that are sure to follow

It's a slow fade when you give yourself away
It's a slow fade when black and white have turned to gray
Thoughts invade, choices are made, a price will be paid
When you give yourself away
People never crumble in a day
It's a slow fade, it's a slow fade

Be careful little ears what you hear
When flattery leads to compromise, the end is always near
Be careful little lips what you say
For empty words and promises lead broken hearts astray

It's a slow fade when you give yourself away
It's a slow fade when black and white have turned to gray
Thoughts invade, choices are made, a price will be paid
When you give yourself away
People never crumble in a day

The journey from your mind to your hands
Is shorter than you're thinking
Be careful if you think you stand
You just might be sinking

It's a slow fade when you give yourself away
It's a slow fade when black and white have turned to gray
Thoughts invade, choices are made, a price will be paid
When you give yourself away
People never crumble in a day
Daddies never crumble in a day
Families never crumble in a day

Oh be careful little eyes what see
Oh be careful little eyes what you see
For the Father up above is looking down in love
Oh be careful little eyes what you see

Faith

- Faith is the only way to get to heaven. It is the only doorway to eternal life. If God created eternity, then only through God can we get there.
- John 5:24 - "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed form death unto life."

- Faith gives us hope.
- Hebrews 11:1 - "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."

- Faith in God brings peace of mind and heart because we know that we belong to him, and we know that one day all pain and suffering will end.
- Isaiah 26:3 - "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee."

- Faith is inviting God's Holy Spirit to live within us. It is not just an act of the mind, but it taps us into the very resources of God so that we have the power to live in an entirely new way. If God himself is living within us, our lives should be dramatically changed.
- Romans 8:5 - "For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit."

- Many people in the Bible whom we consider to be "pillars of faith" had moments of doubt. The key is to never give up on our faith and to always ask if, over time, our lives have been moving closer to or further away from God. Even during moments of doubt, you must invest the effort and discipline to allow your faith to grow.
- 2 Peter 1:1-9 - "Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ: Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindess charity. For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins."

Promise From God: Acts 16:31 - "And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house."
