All great artists need a little struggle in their lives…..if you’re not scared, just means you’re not sticking out your neck far enough

Look Through God's Eyes

Matthew 14:22-29
Don’t look through the eyes of man.  Even though the flesh is weak, the Spirit is willing.  Sometimes I think we forget we serve a God who is supernatural.  There’s nothing wrong with trying the impossible.  As Jeremiah asked, “is there anything too hard for the Lord?”  The only way to see or receive is believe.  The truth is- God’s on your side.  As long as there’s a breath in your body there is hope.  It only takes but a moment with God.
John 10:27-28

There's Got To Be More!

2 Timothy 1:6-12
We come from a great spiritual heritage.  We have a great responsibility to God and to the Church of God Worship Center.  Only those who persevere will receive their rewards.  You can’t reap from my harvest.  You haven’t sown what I’ve sown.  God has not given us a Spirit of fear.  He will send a calm to our lives to help us.  To receive power you have to have a source of power.
Acts 1 - The power of the Holy Ghost has come upon you.
Move and operate under the authority of the Holy Ghost every day.  If you’ve truly got the Holy Ghost then there’s going to be a difference in your life.  Do you really know WHO you believe?  There’s got to be more than what we possess.  The motivating force behind us has to be the Holy Ghost!

Celebrating The Victory

Exodus 15:1-2
Exodus 15:19-21

The victory we have is because of Jesus Christ.  It’s important as believers to celebrate the power and deliverance of God.  We have a reason to celebrate because we are alive in Jesus Christ!  God has given us the spiritual armor to guard against the enemy.  Sometimes God’s people are too worried about others and what they think to break out with a shout of celebration.  Don’t ever be ashamed!  Don’t ever hold back!  Don’t ever quench the power/move of God!  More than anything else we need the power of God.  When you come into the house of God don’t worry about anything else.  Glorify God!  The world may come against us with a spear and a sword but we come against the world in the name of the Lord!  Handle the power and presence of God the right way.  Shout the shout of victory!  Shout the shout of authority!

Don't depend your happiness to other people. Set it upon God and you'll see that you'll never be disappointed.

Rooftop Meeting

Amos 4
Put importance upon coming to the house of God.  Put importance upon worshiping God.  It’s high time to return to the Lord!  It’s high time to prepare to meet God.  What thus saith the Lord is a sure foundation.  I don’t want to become short handed when I stand before God.
Amos 2:6-13
You can’t buy a relationship with God.  Don’t be concerned with the wrong things.  It will cause you to be far from God.  Be concerned with the well being of others.  If you’re not doing the things of God, you’re making a profane to His name.  How soon we forget the good things of God.  Everything that’s written in the book is the truth.  One day chances are gonna be over!
Luke 14
(Sermon Notes - Rev. Brad Stevens)

Remember: You are bigger than any box anyone could ever put you in. Your life & your potential is wildly unlimited.

Facing A Challenging World

The church of Jesus Christ does not change.  You’ll never make a difference just going through the motions.  We need to be transformed in our minds and we can’t do it on our own.  It takes the power of the Holy Ghost.  The Holy Ghost enables you to be an effective witness in a dark and sinful world.  The Holy Ghost power makes a difference.  We’re living in a world were religion tries to make man a God.  If you don’t have God within you the power does not lie within you.  We are living in perilous times.  When people deny the very power of God.

Eternal Purposes

Ephesians 3
It’s God’s plan and purpose to do greater things now than it was then.  God does things with eternity in mind.  He filled us with the Holy Spirit so that a demonstration of the Spirit could work in this world.  It’s time we think beyond our carnal imagination and press in and be who God has called us to be.  If you can’t see it you’ll never do it.  We need to realize we aren’t operating in our own ability.  People have lost sight of what it means to have an eternal purpose.  There is an impact we can make on this world when we minister to people under the unction of the Holy Spirit.  When you deny the Holy Spirit you are literally denying God.  If we don’t press on to know more how are we going to do what God wants us to do?
(Sermon Notes - Rev. Brad Stevens - Preached 6/26/11)

Press On Toward The Mark

Hebrews 12:1-2
Not only is Jesus our beginning and ending, He provides everything we need throughout our life.  Count it all a joy to suffer through trials and tribulations.  It’s gonna be worth it all!
Titus 2:12
We have, through every circumstance, got to keep pressing on.  It’s what determines our outcome.
Jeremiah 29:11
That good future comes through our relationship with Jesus Christ.
Hebrews 11:8-10
There is a heaven that I’m living for and working for and a hell I am going to shun.  Don’t let your circumstances determine how you react.  We may weep and cry for a moment but joy is gonna come!  Sometimes we allow the battles that we go through leave us defeated.  But, we have to be a living example.  There is somebody that is watching your life.  Show them Jesus.
