You don’t love someone because they’re perfect, you love them in spite of the fact that they’re not.

Take a deep breath.  This is life.  You're supposed to screw up sometimes.

God will never disappoint a praiser.  Just ask Paul and Silas.  At midnight as they sang praises, God opened their prison doors.  Just ask Daniel.  As he gave God thanks, those hungry lions couldn't touch him.  Just ask Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego.  They went into the fiery furnace full of praise and came out without even smelling like smoke.

My testimony is simply that with all I’ve seen in my young life, you simply can’t explain any of it without realizing that there’s someone looking out for you and me with a love we cannot understand and a plan we will someday.
—  Hunter Hayes

The older i get the more i realize
  1. Friendship is not something that is common. Genuine Friendship is rare
  2. Your mother should be appreciated
  3. Everybody wants something and never ask themselves what they bring to the table
  4. The energy you give the world is the energy you receive
  5. Time alone is not a bad thing
  6. Love is a gift and is not something you can demand or force

You love people. They disappoint you. But sometimes, they don’t. They just keep loving you, right through it all, waiting for you to wake up and appreciate them. To say, ‘I love you. I’ve always loved you back.

We feel better about ourselves when we choose better for ourselves.

never really had a type.. I just like the way I vibe with certain people.

Tell the truth, or someone will tell it for you.

As Christians we do not change in order to "earn" God's love.  That's impossible.  It's experiencing God's love that compels us to change.

Things you don’t have to apologize for
  • the way you feel about something
  • not wanting to do something that makes uncomfortable
  • saying sorry too much
  • not wearing makeup/being dressed up/doing your hair
  • caring about something
  • not being happy
  • crying
  • needing help
  • asking for attention
  • putting yourself first sometimes
  • your feelings!!

Don’t let your past define you, you don’t live there anymore

You can spend minutes, hours, days, weeks, or even months over-analyzing a situation; trying to put the pieces together, justifying what could’ve, would’ve happened… or you can just leave the pieces on the floor and move on

Many times life will hit you hard, knock you down, and hurt you. Persevere, never give up, and do your best to get up and keep going.

Maybe love stays. Maybe love can’t. Maybe love shouldn’t. Love arrives exactly when love is supposed to. And love leaves exactly when love must. When love arrives, say, ‘Welcome. Make yourself comfortable.’ If love leaves, ask her to leave the door open behind her. Turn off the music, listen to the quiet. Whisper, ‘Thank you for stopping by.'

Teach me how to gracefully let go of things not meant for me.

Character is made by many acts, but it can be destroyed by a single one.

The minute you settle for less than you deserve, you get even less than you settled for.

Nothing is so simple that it can't be screwed up.

Life is about moving on, accepting changes and looking forward to what makes you stronger and more complete.

One thing is certain, when it finally reveals itself, the future is never the way we imagined it.

To be happy, it first takes being comfortable being in your own shoes. The rest can work up from there. The hardest situation to stay happy in, I think, is when you’re trying to find love, and yourself at the same time. It just doesn’t seem to fit well. So I believe that happiness is being able to wake up and just know that this is what you wanted, and not what somebody else wanted.

Your past is just a story.  once you realize this, it has no power over you.

So, I’ve been thinking about this whole being happy thing, and I feel like people get lost when they think of happiness as a destination. We’re always thinking that someday we’ll be happy; we’ll get that car or that job or that person in our lives that’ll fix everything. But happiness is a mood, and it’s a condition, not a destination. It’s like being tired or hungry, it’s not permanent. It comes and goes, and that’s okay. And I feel like if people thought of it that way, they’d find happiness more often.

Make a plan. Set a goal. Work toward it, but every now and then look around. Drink it in, 'cause this is it. It might all be gone tomorrow.

You can’t hide from life. Eventually, you have to live it.

The cure to a lonely heart is time alone with Jesus.  There is nothing in this universe you need more desperately than Christ.

So just live, make mistakes and have wonderful times, but never ever second guess who you are, where you have been and most importantly where it is that you are going.

You shouldn't have to sacrifice who you are just because somebody else has a problem with it.

Maybe its maturity or the wisdom that comes with age, but the witch in Hansel and Gretel—she's very misunderstood. I mean, the woman builds her dream house and these brats come along and start eating it.

When you're young, your whole life is about the pursuit of fun. Then, you grow up and learn to be cautious. You could break a bone or a heart. You look before you leap and sometimes you don't leap at all because there's not always someone there to catch you. And in life, there's no safety net. When did it stop being fun and start being scary?

The same boiling water that softens the potato, hardens the egg. It's about what you're made of not the circumstances.

If you’re gonna bail, bail early. This applies to relationships, college classes, and sledding.

A lot of people get so hung up on what they can’t have that they don’t think for a second about whether they really want it.

Failure is inevitable, Unavoidable. But failure should never get the last word. You have to hold on to what you want. You have to not take “No” for an answer, and take what’s coming to you. Never give in. Never give up. Stand up. Stand up and take it.

At the end of the day, we can endure much more than we think we can.

I’ve learned that it’s all about choice. You can choose to turn regrets into lessons that change your future.

Having dreams is what makes life tolerable.

The sexiest thing in the entire world is being really smart. And being thoughtful. And being generous. Everything else is crap, I promise you. It’s just crap that people try to sell to you to make you feel like less. So don’t buy it. Be smart. Be thoughtful. And be generous.

If people want to let you go, just let them do it. They may not understand who you are. So don’t play around with fire; don’t give them their cake and let them eat it too. Here is your rule of thumb: they either commit to you or get none of you.

When a relationship is over, leave. Don’t continue watering a dead flower.

Because once upon a time, we were best friends. And, yes, there's been a lot of bad stuff in between. But none of that matters right now, okay? You need me, I'm there. Any time, any place, anywhere

I'd like to tell today's youth that no matter where life takes you, big cities, small towns, you'll inevitably come across small minded people who think they're better than you. People who think that material things, or being pretty or popular, automatically make you a worthwhile human being. I'd like to tell today's youth that none of these things matter. Unless you have a strength of character, integrity, ... and if you're lucky enough to have any of these things, don't ever sell out. Don't ever sell out. So when you meet a person for the first time, don't judge them by their station in life, 'cause who knows, that person just might end up being your best friend.

You're born, you die and you make a lot of mistakes in between.

Lose one friend, lose all friends, lose yourself

I can't say certain things, so I write them down, that's how I get them out. Now I do that for myself and not for anyone else

I believe in love like I believe in God: you can't touch it, you can't see it, but you can feel its wrath.

You do your thing, I'll do mine. You go your way, I'll go mine. And if we end up together, it's beautiful

Friendship is a real gift. It is given with no expectations & no gratitude is necessary
