Compassion

What can we learn about God's compassion that can help us be more compassionate?

A mark of godliness is to share the compassionate heart of Jesus. If we want to be like him we must be compassionate.

Ephesians 4:32 - And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.

Lamentations 3:22-23 - It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.

Mark 1:41 - And Jesus, moved with compassion, put forth his hand, and touched him, and saith unto him, I will; be thou clean.

Luke 6:36 - Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.

Psalm 145:8 - The LORD is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy.

Psalm 72:12-14 - For he shall deliver the needy when he crieth; the poor also, and him that hath no helper. He shall spare the poor and needy, and shall save the souls of the needy. He shall redeem their soul from deceit and violence: and precious shall their blood be in his sight.

Will God's compassion come to us even when we don't deserve it?

What a wonderful surprise when divine love pours forth on the undeserving.

Psalm 103:8 - The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.

Like a wonderful spring, God's compassion flows endlessly toward us.

Lamentations 3:21-22 - This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope. It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.

PROMISE FROM GOD:
Psalm 72:12 - For he shall deliver the needy when he crieth; the poor also, and him that hath no helper.
