For When I Am Weak, Then I Am Strong

When you come right down to it, there are two basic approaches to dealing with the weaknesses and frustration we experience:
    1. We can try to deny our shortcomings and deny that we struggle at times.
    2. We can choose to be transparent, own up to our failings and allow God to cleanse us.
It's hard to come out from behind the facades.  We all have them.  We erect them because we all feel vulnerable in some way, yet, when we choose to hold on to our stuff and then seek ways to hide it, we imprison ourselves behind these facades.  The trouble is they are hard to create and even harder to protect.  Hiding wastes precious energy and resources; it also causes us to squander valuable opportunities to help others.  Never be scared to talk about what has happened in your life.  We are all weak and prone to being frustrated.  Every one of us has suffered pain.  The only thing that will come from hiding our struggles is more weakness, frustration and pain.  If, on the other hand, we are willing to come down to earth and be ourselves, we can do some heavenly good here on Earth.
2 Corinthians 12:10
