When you were born again, you were born to WIN! To be victorious over the devil and his kingdom. With your new birth came authority that fitted you for victory. Kingdom authority is the God given right of Christians to exercise control and dominion over the world in the name of Jesus.
1 John 4:4-5 says, For whatsoever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith. Who is he that overcomes the world, but he that believes that Jesus is the Son of God? Do you believe that Jesus is the Son of God? Then you should be living in victory!
Luke 10:17-19 talks about when Jesus commissioned the 70 to go out and preach and gave them His authority. They returned to Him victoriously saying, "even the demons submit to us in your name." Jesus said, "I saw Satan fall from heaven as lightning. I have given you POWER (authority) to tread on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you."
There are 2 Greek words used here for power. Power to tread on snakes and scorpions is the word dunamis which means ability or strength. But, the word used for power over all the power of the enemy is exousia, which means the official right or authority to act. Exousia focuses on the right to use the power rather than the power itself. It is a personal right because of position, standing or delegation. We have this power because it is our inheritance! We are heirs to it! Part of your inheritance as a child of God is the right to use your God given authority to speak His word against the circumstances of life and be victorious!!
