1 John 2:15-17 -Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
Let go and let God. I've heard it so many times over the years. It's surely easier said than done. I've wrestled with the devil knowing he has NO power over me yet still letting him have a foothold to take over my thought processes. Why do I hold on to the thoughts of this world? They are useless. Tactics used by satan to keep me down and out. I want to let go and do the will of God! Let go of the thoughts of this world that will soon pass away. And think only on things of the Father. That's not an impossible desire.
Luke 18:27 - Things that are impossible with man are possible with God.
Proverbs 3:5-6 - Trust in the Lord and He shall direct your paths.
Jeremiah 29:11 - Thoughts of peace, not of evil.
John 8:32 - The truth shall set you free.
Philippians 3:12-14 - Press toward the prize.
Ephesians 4:26 - Don't let the sun go down on your wrath.
Proverbs 28:13 - Confess and have mercy
Hebrews 12:1 - Lay aside every weight; run the race with patience.
2 Timothy 2:15 -16 - Study to show yourself approved. Shun vain babblings.
Isaiah 43:18-19 - Remember not old things. He will do a new thing!!
