For those of you who may be afraid to set foot in a Church, let me clarify for you, no matter what you have done in the past, God still loves you! He'll forgive you if you just ask! And don't you worry about the other people in church... they need God's grace just as much as you do. There isn't even one in the room at any church you go to who doesn't struggle with temptation or give in to sin every once and a while (unless you go to a funeral, in which case the dead guy up front's struggle with temptation and sin is now over).

1 Corinthians 12

LOVE

"And now I will show you the most excellent way. If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. One Body, Many Parts

1 Corinthians 12: 13-31

The body is a unit made up of many parts that form ONE body. So it is with Christ. We were all baptized by ONE Spirit into ONE body.
The body is not made of one part but of many. In fact, God has arranged the parts in the body, every one of them, just as He wanted them to be.
One pray can not say to the other, "I don't need you." God has combined the members of the body and has given greater honor to the parts that lacked it, so that there should be no division in the body, but it's parts should have equal concern for each other. If one part suffers, ever part suffers with it. If one part is honored, every part rejoices with it. We are the body of Christ - each of us is a part of it.
In the church, God appointed:
1. Apostles
2. Prophets
3. Teachers
4. Workers of miracles.
5. Those having gifts of healing.
6. Those able to help others.
7. Those with gifts of administration.
8. Those speaking in different kinds of tongues.
Not all of us have every gift but eagerly desire greater gifts.

Earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal.

God's love fills the whole earth.

What lies behind us and what lies before us matters little to what lies within us.

Please Lord, give me the strength to make stepping stones out of stumbling blocks.

You'll reap what you sow. What you plant one day will grow. Remember the things that you do sooner or later will come back to you. So be gentle and be kind. You'll get the same thing somewhere in time. I want you to know you'll always reap what you sow.

Be more concerned about your character than your reputation because your character is who you are and your reputation is who others think you are.

Spiritual Gifts

1Corinthians 12:1-11 - "Now about spiritual gifts, brothers, I do not want you to be ignorant. You know that when you were pagans, somehow or other you were influenced and led astray to mute idols. Therefore I tell you that no one who is speaking by the Spirit of God says, "Jesus be cursed," and no one can say, "Jesus is Lord," except by the Holy Spirit. There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but the same God works all of them in all men. Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. To one there is given through the Spirit the message of wisdom, to another the message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues. All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he gives them to each one, just as he determines."

The Lord does not want us to be ignorant about Spiritual gifts.

Gifts are:
- Messages of wisdom
-Messages of knowledge
-Faith
-Gifts of healing
-Miraculous powers
-Prophecy
-Distinguishing between Spirits
-Speaking in different types of tongues
-Interpretation of tongues
All these are the work of one and the same Spirit and He gives them as He determines.

The teenagers at COGWC are absolutley amazing!! You all inspire me every single time I see you! I love you all very much and this is just a little something to show you that love.
